Xbox 360, Buy Now Or Later By Kenneth Elliott, Thu Dec 8th
Is their enough life in the new 360 to get rid of your XBOXsystem? My main answer to this question would be no. Let me explain.Yes, the new 360 has some cool gadgets as well as coolgraphics. But I don't think it's enough to overcome the price ofthe new system. The new gadgets as well as the graphics of thegames have not outpaced the old system by leaps and bounds. Theoriginal has and can do everything that the new system cando and also its has a larger game install base as compared tothe new 360. Yes, the 360 will catch up to the numberof games offered by the original system, but right now thatis not the case. Now lets compare components. The original comes with a harddrive installed in the unit, while the 360 has an add-onhard drive component. But this one component alone takes thehard-core gamers out of the loop for online multiply playergames. So, that makes it a must have for the 360. Onlinecapability has gone wireless with the 360. Their no morefumbling with wires and the wireless component integrates nicelywith the 360 case. But the original can go wirelessalso. Yes, you will have to get a secondary solution for thiscapability but with the price of the original system and
thissecondary solution you're still well below the opening price ofthe 360. Still making the original and excellentchoice.
Controllers are the same issue. 360's premium package comeswith wireless controllers. But you're paying upwards of $400.00dollars for the 360 to have this capability. But incontrast, the starts at about $150.00 dollars. Included inthe box is a non-wireless controller. But you can purchase awireless controller for about $40 dollars more. Overall, I do like the new 360 but at this time I would notrecommend purchasing it until either the game base increases(which it will) or the price drops. Either way, wait a littlewhile and enjoy the with all of its games and hardwarediscounted. You are sure to find great deals on the console aswell as the games.
